In this transformative 2 hour virtual workshop, we will dive into the art of belting while cultivating a safe and supportive environment.

Our focus will be on nurturing your intuitive voice, increasing risk tolerance, and embracing the power of your vocal expression through belting.

Whether you're performing on a regular basis or just someone who's been curious about belting, this intimate group setting (capped at 6 participants) is designed to meet your voice where it's at!

This workshop is being offered on a sliding scale, which means YOU choose the amount you're able to pay within a set price range ($45 - $65 USD)

Workshop Objectives

Trauma-Sensitive Approach:

We understand that vocal expression can be tied to personal experiences, and we strive to foster a trauma-sensitive space for singers. We will encourage you to explore your voice at your own pace, ensuring a nurturing and respectful environment. You always have a say in your workshop experience.

Nervous System-Friendly Techniques:

Learn techniques to regulate your nervous system and manage performance anxiety, helping you to feel more present and grounded while singing in front of others (in the comfort of your own home).

Discover Your Intuitive Voice:

Tap into your natural and authentic vocal instincts. Through different exercises and resources, we'll explore the depths of your voice and discover new dimensions of expression.

Increase Risk Tolerance:

Embrace vulnerability and explore the edges of your comfort zone. You’ll receive guidance and support as you push past barriers, allowing you to expand your vocal capabilities in a safe container.

Creating a Safe Space for Loud Sounds:

Many singers feel hesitant to explore the power of their voice. We'll create a judgment-free zone, encouraging participants to experiment with creating loud sounds without fear of criticism or shame.

Schedule Outline

  • Icebreaker and Introductions: We'll begin with a warm welcome, getting to know each other and learning about the principles of a trauma-conscious space.

  • Vocal Warm-ups: Engage in a series of gentle vocal warm-ups and nervous system exercises that prepare the body, mind, and voice.

  • Empowerment Activities: Participate in empowering exercises and journal prompts aimed at embracing your intuitive voice, building confidence, and releasing self-doubt.

  • Belting Techniques: Learn the foundations of belting from a cultural and biological perspective. Discover the elements of what creates a healthy and sustainable belt. Understand how to access different parts of your vocal range and registers.

  • Interactive Belting Exercises: As a group, we'll engage in exercises aimed to help you feel the sensations and sounds associated with belting. There will be an option for individual feedback live during the workshop, or you can also recieve feedback in the form of a video message post-workshop.

  • Closing Circle: We'll conclude with a supportive group reflection, sharing our experiences, insights, and takeaways from the workshop. You will also receive resources for integration after the workshop.
